HiveCom

This new civilization/society of instant-comunication-always-connected is not (in my opinion) progress toward the overall social and emotional health of humanity.
The Black Mirror seems to have stolen the Master's attention; stolen the Individual's reflection...Human introspection.
The centralization of networks create sociopaths that fall upon receiving the near total power that they have over humanity's perception.
Attention is what is being stolen! Attention is what we Pay!

During the attack on Perl Harbor I imagine my Grandfather may have received a phone call(if he even had a phone) or had a neighbor deliver the news, to which he may have turned on the radio and listened to a broadcast. Listening with an elevated heart rate and change in his emotional state.
During 9/11 I had my attention hijacked and emotional state changed in a similar fashion.

The science of psychology has revealed appeal to emotion causes predictable actions.
Human Beings are not inherently good, or inherently bad...but we are Programmable!

Whoever controls the Program, controls the Human!

There is a story of my Great Great Uncle who was a cowboy working the open range out west. He had received a draft notice to present himself to the office in Kansas City. By the time he got to Kansas City the war was over. We can only imagine the delay in getting the message, and then the delay of riding his horse to Kansas City. Or maybe he was just elusive. Either way...his nescience of the greater world likely saved him from war.

Nescience is the absence of knowledge.
Ignorance is to ignore knowledge.
Knowledge is to comprehend what is true(what is), information that can be qualified thru our senses.
None of those words equals bliss.

Language can be a curse. Imagination is often a lie. Trust equals faith. Faith polarizes the emotional state, often blinding an individual from truth...or crushing the person when truth reveals their belief, trust, and faith to be wrong.
People act upon false information, and almost everything that is presented to us is false or irrelevant.

Perception is Not Reality.

The Program paints a picture...creates perception in the mind. Our actions are a product of our perception.
As a man Thinks, So a man Feels, So a man Acts. It is identical to a computer processor: input, logic, output.

Realizing that(if you can read this) you are Programmable, and to know this is to free yourself because now you can critically think, erase programming, and create new programming for yourself that is in alignment with what you want.
You are the Author of your life! Write it and create it as you Will!
Live life with full understanding that you control the Program.

Now technology has AI algorithms to present programming customized to the individual. People have been programming the algo so that it can program them. It knows how to push your buttons. It knows how to penalize you, how to reward you, how you look, how you think, and how you act.
Deceptive programs can create video in real-time that look real and fool almost anyone.
This movement, this information revolution is rolling humanity!
These algorithms, networks, and super computers are owned by people("They"). They are not benign. They have an agenda.
This whole structure is built to control people from the top down(a better analogy is they are controlling people from the bottom up, as in the lowlife control freaks dragging people down with them).
Information Technology is a new facet of control, an addition to the existing facets of: money, government, and religion.

All of this SHIT is best to be avoided.

I find it very difficult to control my programming while always connected to: phone, text, email, internet, social media, TV, mail, radio, newspapers, magazines, books, telegraph, and those cheeky carrier pigeons.

Much of my life I have been remote...isolated by boat travel, or not participating in modern communication.
All forms of communication are inferior to talking in person, so that is and always has been my preference.
So it is simple for me to just restrict my information diet. Simple but not easy.
Information overload is periphery and gossip, so intriguing but oh so harmful.

But wait...there is more...
(reasons to not use or have a phone)

A couple of months ago I read a book titled "The Invisible Rainbow" by Firstenberg.
It is a well documented book about electricity and radio wave propagation.
Although I do not agree with several of the theories, conclusions, and correlation he presented, it had a great deal of well documented proof that we humans have been disrespectfully abusing technologies that are a part of nature and can be used with more forethought, finesse, and wisdom.

Radio waves are being used as weapons.

All matter is in motion. Electricity is the exchange of electrons and protons. We are electric beings and radio waves effect us.

For over the past year I have experienced a burning sensation in my left thigh.
Since I keep my phone in my left pocket exactly where the burning pain is, I naturally suspected the phone was causing the pain.

By drastically reducing my phone's radio frequency emissions using airplane mode and keeping Bluetooth off, or just keeping the device off and out of my pocket the pain has gone away.

I love my smartphone and the internet so it was not comfortable at first, but now I use the radio (wireless network) sparingly (for an hour or two every 3 days) it has been much more comfortable than being constantly connected.

It works like this:

Now when I think of something that should/could be researched online I write it down so it can be referenced and researched later when I connect to the internet, or better yet researched in my library and/or encyclopedia.
So my work is lined up and processed in one session every few days.
Media like podcasts, books, movies are downloaded for use later. Phone calls, email, text, and online payments made.
I still use my phone as a digital book reader, spreadsheet, map, word processor, timer, and more...but it is offline.

So now I am off grid for days at a time...just like when I used to find a phone booth, like when I would find an internet cafe, like when I would walk to the library enjoying the flowers and trees along the way.

And then...

Argument 1
I was accused of being selfish :(

1) It crushed me because that's not my intention, I want to help others. So I wrote this to rationalize and explain why I choose to not participate in "HiveCom" (what I coin as instant-allways-on-communication).

2) I care about other people, but HiveCom (in my experience) has made me care less about other people.

3) Communication is so easy that people will pull you in with no effort or consideration; to pay attention or solve some insignificance perceived problem that they could have solved with some effort or consideration on their part.

Argument 2
What if someone needs me due to an emergency?

I would love to be a hero and solve a true need and/or tame an emergency, but:

1) That situation is speculative.

2) Every person is their own authority, they are responsible; to demand assistance it to enslave; to hope for assistance is to ignore the truth that help may not come. Live and prepare accordingly.

3) Proximity is the best way to get help, always has been. If a person is physically close to me I will be available to help.

Argument 3
We do not live in the 1800s and technology exists so it is irresponsible to not use it.

1) I have free will and can do as I choose, and I will bear the consequences.

2) I serve humanity in many ways and I desire to help more, but my refusal to participate in a technology that I find harmful is Moral.

3) Firearms technology exists and it may be irresponsible to not use it, as in everyone should carry a gun with them (an analogy).

This should clarify the what, who, why, where, when, and how cell phones have pushed me away.
